Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)

Employers wanting to sponsor highly skilled workers for a permanent visa to work in Australia can do so under the ENS.  The workers could be from overseas or temporary residents (e.g. on a 457 visa) who are in Australia.
As an employer you must:

• Be actively and lawfully operating a business in Australia
• Have a genuine need for a paid employee
• Have a satisfactory record of compliance with Australian industrial relations and immigration laws
• Have adequate training strategies for existing Australian employees

As a nominee (visa applicant) you must:

• Have the appropriate skills, qualifications and/or experience that is required for the position
• Be under 45 years of age
• Meet mandatory licensing, registration or any professional membership requirements
