Parent Visas

If you have a child (or children) in Australia you may be eligible for a parent visa provided you pass the balance of family test* and meet other specific criteria. You can be in Australia or outside Australia when you apply.

• *Balance of family test: you must have at least half of your children in Australia or a majority of your children in Australia than in any other one country.
